We are pleased as pie (of which there sure are many varieties in the UK) to introduce Angela as our brand-new fortune teller. She brings a great experience and is a closet Duran Duran fan, who are from her home town of Birmingham, so let’s hope our next Method prom is 80s inspired.

Angela brings us to 6 full-time methologists here, so we’ve effectively doubled in size since Phil first hung up his bike shirts in our offices here.

We thought you might be interested in some of the winners of our “Gurning against Dirty” contest at the innocent fete a few weeks ago. We hosted 450 highly competitive face pullers, each of whom received a postcard in the post with their own photo for the fridge.

The winning 8 gurners (below are three of the best – the crème de la gurn) all received big boxes of method cleaning products, so they no longer have to pull faces when they clean.

We spent the weekend spreading the method gospel at the innocent village fete. Kind of like our debutante coming out.  Thanks to Alastair, we learned that one of the classic fete traditions that innocent hadn’t planned was “gurning”, or competitive silly face pulling:

So, we decided to become the official gurning sponsors of the innocent fete, and created a method “gurning against dirty” booth to properly introduce ourselves.

This included a “gurning against dirty” booth and a “gurning yoke” produced from one of our method ads (which Nicole is modeling below).

We then took people’s photos in a competitive gurn-off. Each gurning photo we took was was printed out individually (on our borrowed office printer) and tacked to the side of our tent. On the other side of the gurning photo, the gurners printed their address so we can post it to them after the fete.
