July 2007

July 12, 2007

You'll be glad to hear we celebrated Independence Day properly. David and Phil spent July 4th bullying me as the only American (no change there), and I subjected them to a lesson on the tyranny of King George, courtesy of the classic School House Rock piece, No More Kings.

all hail the grand poobah

We were excited to welcome James this week to our merry band of gypsies. Alastair our overall chief against dirty even journeyed down from holiday in Scotland to properly baptize James. We honored James by giving him the title “the grand poobah” on all of our customer presentations for the week.

Sainsbury launch

We launched in quite a few Sainsbury stores across the UK this week. And there was much rejoicing.

ready for our close up

“You Magazine” is featuring method as one of a few brands that is trying to be sustainable and stylish.  On the way to the shoot, we learned that Nicole had been a finalist for Miss South Africa.  No joke - the televised pageant and everything.

we love a parade

We had so much fun with our last parade, so we had another one yesterday in Richmond, this time with a fully stocked m-spot (see below). Our local influential organic shop agreed to carry method. So, we rolled out a full formed m-spot down the Richmond High Street across the cross walk and directly into the store.

The patches of cobblestone sidewalk were a little tough, and I have a Lavender hand wash welt on my forehead from a falling bottle, but we now have a little method in the store across the street.

Speaking of m-spots, here is a photo from one of the 49 m-spots we recently brought to the Co-op (this one in Fordingbridge, Hampshire).
